Ghanaians have been urged to pray against social atrocities and learn to forgive one another and live together in peace and harmony. The populace has also been encouraged to reach out to the poor and vulnerable in the society.

“On this special occasion my brethren, as a rabbi preaching about God and how people can learn to forgive and live together in peace and harmony, we must emulate his deeds and turn over a new leaf, reach out to the poor and be prayerful against societal atrocities and for the forgiveness of our sins.”

Sending her message of felicitations and best wishes to the Christian community during the 2022 Easter celebration, the New Patriotic Party Women’s Organizer for the Savannah Region, Hajia Safia Mohammed, said the season was time for renewed hope and to ponder the common values that unite us as a people.

She maintained it was also a moment to reflect on the momentous sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for each of us, and to celebrate the triumph of the resurrection and his gift of grace.

“Through his faith, he made the sick healthy again, the blind see, the deaf hear, and the multitude satisfied. He gave hope to those who had given up. I am praying to the Lord that he always keeps you safe and surrounds your life with eternal love and happiness” she prayed.

“I wish to extend my heartfelt felicitations to the Christian Community in the Savannah Region and Ghanaians in general. The death and subsequent resurrection of Jesus Christ remains the ultimate demonstration of victory over adversity.   May the sacrifice of Jesus Christ infuse your life with inspiration and new hope to follow the path of truth and redemption” the Businesswoman cum politician added.
