The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye has announced that the country now has 3,617 active COVID-19 cases.

He also disclosed Ghana has recorded 782 new COVID-19 cases from samples taken between 23 June and 25 July 2020.

Dr Kuma-Aboagye further revealed at the meet-the-press series organised by the Ministry of Information in Accra yesterday, that the cases are from 58 districts in seven regions.

Nine regions did not record any positive cases within that period.

According to Dr Kuma-Aboagye, 382,752 tests have been conducted in the country.

He said a total of 34,000 cases have been confirmed nationwide.

Again, 30,621 patients have recovered, representing 89 per cent of the total cases while the majority of the cases are asymptomatic.
