All is set for the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA). The meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Ghana International Press Centre in Accra.
In accordance with Article 34(f) of the GJA Constitution (2004), the National Executive has scheduled the AGM, which serves as the highest decision-making body of the Association. Additionally, Article 34(a)(ii) mandates that the AGM be convened within the first quarter of each year.
Agenda
Members attending the meeting will discuss key issues, including:
- Presentation of the General Secretary’s Annual Report
- Review of the Audited Accounts of the Association, to be presented by the National Treasurer
- Discussion of Regional Reports
- Any Other Business (AOB)
All members in good standing as of December 31, 2025, are eligible to attend. However, it is important to note that only registered members—excluding honorary and student members—will have voting rights during the AGM.
The National Executive will publish the list of members in good standing on March 24, 2026. Members are encouraged to pay their dues before this date to ensure their names appear on the list and to fully participate in the meeting.
The GJA National Executive looks forward to welcoming all members to this important gathering.
