The Member of Parliament for Savelugu, Hon Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz, has congratulated the newly elected Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Hon Alhasssn Fuseini, following his confirmation by the assembly members on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
The lawmaker in a post on Facebook said she looks forward to a close and collaborative partnership with the MCE to advance the development, unity and shared aspirations of the municipality.
“Congratulations, Hon. Alhassan Fuseini, on your confirmation as Municipal Chief Executive for Savelugu. I look forward to a close and collaborative partnership as we work together to advance the development, unity, and shared aspirations of our beloved municipality” the MP stated.
She further prayed that the tenure of the Municipal Chief Executive would be marked by impact, progress and lasting success.
“Wishing you a tenure marked by impact, progress, and lasting success” she added.
Mr. Alhasssn Fuseini obtained 36 votes out of a total number of 37 votes cast with one spoiled ballot to become the Savelugu MCE.
Meanwhile, prior to the election of the MCE nominee, the assembly members also elected Hon. Mohammed Oluu Kalli as the new Presiding Member for the assembly.
