The outspoken Member of Parliament for Yendi constituency in the Northern Region, Hon Farouk Aliu Mahama, has categorically stated that over 500 youth in the constituency have been employed into the public sector since he was elected in 2020.

The lawmaker stated that his developmental records and the facelift given to the constituency is unmatched compared to previous leaders.

“I want to tell you today, when I come to every youth group, I am going to mention names of individuals and their respective households that I have secured job opportunities for. I have recruited over 500 youth in three years in Yendi constituency, I will mention their names, their houses and every electoral area that are in the police, military and other public sector jobs” he stressed.

Mr. Mahama said his evidence-based campaign is to demonstrate to the constituents the level of work done since he was given the mandate to represent the constituency in Parliament.

The MP emphasized, “I will prove that we’ve worked but not everyone will get what you want but at least your child, your sibling or your family relative would’ve gotten something because my mandate is to work and bring development to the constituency”.

The legislator made these remarks when he addressed a section of the youth at his constituency private residence in Yendi as part of a series of his Youth Connect program.

Farouk Mahama in the address captured in video sighted by THE CUSTODIAN Online said more developmental opportunities awaits the Yendi constituency when Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party becomes President of Ghana in 2025.

He therefore charged the gallant youth and electorates of Yendi to turnout in their numbers and vote massively for the Vice President in the upcoming December 7, 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama has called on the rank and file of the NPP to bury whatever differences that exist in the aftermath of the internal election and forged ahead as a united party for victory in December.

“…When we say power, never joke with power. If Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as our flagbearer can come to Yendi and sleep over in this house, ask yourselves, what is it that we cannot get in terms of development in Yendi when he becomes the Commander-in-chief of Ghana Armed Forces” he queried.
