Speaking to the Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Atta Adjei reiterated concerns about how people must take responsibility to clean their frontage to keep Ghana clean.

Mr. Adjei stated that ‘We are doing this to support the AMA agenda of cleaning the communities once a month. As we have started and continue like this, within the next 5-10 years we can make Ghana a clean place to live in’.

The Chairman added that ‘ We will not wait for other people to.clean our areas for us. We are ensuring that everyone will be part of what we are doing and everyone can do something in a small way to support what we are doing to get the desired results’.

The first clean up exercise for 2022 was done on 28th January and this second exercise for the year saw a revived energy.

‘We are driving the self-leadership Agenda and with this we are supporting zoomlion as they are partners in the ‘Clean Your Frontage” campaign. Yes, we have other sponsors who are providing the equipment for us to work”, Mr. Adjei said.

The goal of the Foundation is to spread into other communities in Accra and bring together more youths to help the Agenda of cleaning their communities once a month.

Mr. Adjei said ‘ This is a nationwide project, we want to start with Madina and be able to move into place like Teshie, Dansoman, Jamestown, and etc. The mobilisation of people is a bit of a challenge but as we have started we will continue with it.

In conclusion, the Chairman of the Foundation complained about how many people dump rubbish into drainage. They intend to set up the Volunteers to be community guards to prevent such behaviour and report them to the appropriate authorities.
