Ghana Police Service has confirmed that the Madina Divisional Command is actively investigating a shooting incident involving prominent politician Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo.
According to an official press release issued today by the Regional Public Affairs Unit, the incident occurred on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Kwabenya in the Accra Region. Hon. Adwoa Safo reportedly sustained a gunshot injury to her left ear while visiting her late father’s residence.
The victim promptly reported the matter to the Kwabenya Police Station and presented her vehicle, a vehicle with registration number GN 3482-24, which sustained visible gunshot damage. The vehicle has since been impounded for forensic examination.
Police sources say Adwoa Safo has been issued a Police Medical Report Form and is currently receiving medical attention. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the shooting and to identify all individuals involved.
The Ghana Police Service has appealed for calm while assuring the public that the matter is being handled with the utmost urgency and professionalism.
No arrests have been made so far, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
