Samuel Amoah-Opare, Assembeyman of Mamfe receiving items form Nana Dr. Atikoasere Oteng-Boadu III and Nanayere

The Gyasehene of Mamfe Akuapem and Kyidomman Nana Dr. Atikoasere Oteng-Boadu III, together with Oheneyere Naa Kwarley Oteng-Boadu have donated items to the people of Mamfe in the Akuapem Traditional area of the Eastern Region of Ghana.

The donation which took place on Saturday, 28th March, 2020 was to support the people of Mamfe in the fight against the spread of the Coronavirus.

Items donated were Veronica buckets and receptacles, nose masks, liquid soaps, dettol, detergents, disposable gloves and hand sanitizers.

Presenting the items to people, Nana Dr. Atikoasere Oteng-Boadu III underscored the importance of the exercise in the wake of the spread of the deadly virus in Ghana. The Gyasehene said the safety and wellbeing of the people is a great concern to him and the elders of Mamfe.

He urged the people of Mamfe to adhere to all directives as announced by President Akufo-Addo and the Ghana Health Service, to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

Receiving the items on behalf of the people, the Assemblyman for Mamfe West and South Electoral area, Samuel Amoah-Opare thanked Nana Dr. Atikoasere Oteng-Boadu III and Oheneyere Naa Kwarley Oteng-Boadu for their kind gesture. He assured them that the items will be put into good use. He called on Government to intensify public education, especially in the rural areas on preventive measures to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.
