Personnel of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) at the Head Office, Regional and District Offices have celebrated Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye’s appointment as Acting Chief Executive.
As a Member of the NHIA Governing Board, the Staff expressed appreciation for Okoe Boye’s appointment and wished that it will change their destiny.
His appointment signed by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare takes effect on May 3, 2022.
Dr. Bernard Okoe-Boye was a Deputy Minister of Health during President Akufo-Addo’s first term in office.
He is a licensed medical practitioner who holds BSC in Human Biology, Medicine and Surgery from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
He also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) from Hamburg School of Applied Science and an A1 certificate in German from the Geothe Institute, Accra.
Dr Okoe-Boye had his housemanship at the Ghana Health Service from 2009 to 2012. He then continued as a Medical Officer in the same Institution for four years.
He is a Physician at Lekma Hospital, a government health facility located at Teshie in the Greater Accra Region.
