Poor road network slows down development

Residents of Nkonkor, a village in the upper West Akim district of the Eastern Region are calling on government to provide them with electricity and good roads ahead of the 2020 general election.

Nkonkor, according to the residents, has been without electricity over the years and their feeder road has also been in a deplorable state.

The residents are therefore threatening to boycott the up-coming December general elections if their road is not fixed and the village connected to the national grid.

The chief and people of Nkonkor want the media to highlight their plight and also to send a message to the government to come to their aid.
