The Northern Regional Police Command is on a manhunt for three robbery suspects who allegedly robbed Chief Sofo Awudu Azorka, a National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress at gunpoint and allegedly snatched his White Toyota Land Cruiser V8 vehicle with registration number GT 5533-17.

The incident happened last Monday, February 28, 2022, at his private residence at Gbanyamle, a suburb of Tamale in the northern region.

The suspects went away with two apple phones (iPhone 13) valued at GH¢19,000.00 and some unspecified amount of money.

The Regional Crime Officer, Superintendent Bernard Baba Ananga, in a statement said an anti-robbery operation has been put together to apprehend the perpetrators.

According to Supt Ananga, Sofo Awudu Azorka explained that on February 28, 2022, he drove to his residence at Gbanyamle and that when he got to his gate, an armed man approached to attack him but he escaped leaving the vehicle.
