The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced September 21, 2026, as the deadline for media accreditation ahead of its upcoming National Delegates Conference.
Chairperson of the Communications and Media Subcommittee of the NPP Elections Committee, Oboshie Sai-Coffie, announced the arrangements at a press briefing on Wednesday, September 16, on preparations for the polls.
According to her, all media personnel, including traditional journalists and bloggers, who intend to cover the conference must complete the accreditation process through the party’s official registration portal.
She said only fully accredited media personnel would be permitted entry into the stadium and urged media houses and individual journalists to submit their applications early to avoid delays.
The party has also announced the establishment of a Media Village at the stadium to accommodate media houses seeking to set up studios for pre-event and post-event analysis, interviews and other coverage.
Media houses interested in securing space at the Media Village have until Monday, September 21, 2026, to submit their requests. The party stated that requests received after the deadline would not be considered.
Oboshie Sai-Coffie further disclosed that media houses would not be granted access to the inner perimeter of the stadium.
Instead, proceedings within the restricted area will be covered through an official broadcast feed produced by the NPP’s dedicated production team.
The official feed will be made available to broadcast houses for live transmission and use, eliminating the need for physical media access to the inner perimeter.
