The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced the programme schedule and voter identification requirements for its conference scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026.
In a notice signed by Frederick Opare-Ansah, Chairman of the National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC), constituency, regional and national officers, as well as all delegates, were urged to take note of the arrangements ahead of the conference.
According to the notice, the programme will be held in two main stages, with consideration of constitutional amendments beginning at exactly 9:00 a.m.
The election of national officers is expected to commence at 12:00 p.m.
Voting will be conducted across 31 polling stations, with delegates expected to elect officers to nine positions.
The positions are National Chairman, Vice Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser, National Women’s Organiser, National Youth Organiser, National Nasara Organiser, National Treasurer and National Communications Director.
The Electoral Commission (EC) will conduct the elections and verify the identity of every voter.
The party said delegates seeking to vote must have their names on the delegates’ register and present one valid identification document.
Accepted documents include a Voter ID card, Ghana Card or NPP party card.
Delegates have therefore been advised to bring at least one of the accepted identification documents and allow sufficient time for verification before voting begins.
The NOEC also urged all constituency, regional and national officers to bring the notice to the attention of delegates within their respective jurisdictions.
The arrangements are intended to facilitate the orderly consideration of the proposed constitutional amendments and the smooth conduct of the elections of national officers.
