The Communication Directorates of the two leading political parties, the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress in the northern region have both suspended Radio and Television political talk shows and all other forms of political activities to mourn the death of the NDC Northern Regional who was also the Chief of Tugu Yapala, Naa Ibrahim Mobila.

The Regional Communication Officer of the NDC, Mr. Alhassan Abdul Mumin, in a statement copied to THE CUSTODIAN Online said the Communications Bureau of the NDC, effective today Wednesday, August 17, 2022, will break from political discussions on all media platforms due to the unfortunate demise of our father and Regional Chairman, Naa Alhaji Ibrahim Mobila.

He also prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and bless him with Jannah.

In a similar fashion, the NPP Director of Communication, Mr. Sayibu Yussif Danjumah, has also expressed the devastation of the governing party following the death of the NDC Chairman.

Consequent to that, he has directed communicators of the party to take a beak effective Wednesday August 17 and resume on August 19, 2022.

“This is done in solidarity with the family and NDC as a party for this irreplaceable lost” he said.  

“Finally, the NPP in the Northern Region wishes to convey its heartfelt condolences to the family, NDC and citizens of the Northern Region for that great loss. We also pray for a peaceful rest of the soul of this noble Chief and hardworking Chairman” Mr. Danjumah added.
