The Nyohini Children’s Home on Tuesday (June 7, 2021) received cartons of assorted mineral drinks, bottle water, biscuits, diapers and bundles of tissue from KIZZO-K Ventures, producers of Izzo ointment in line with the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Managers of the company at a short ceremony handed the items to the management of the orphanage and also distributed some quantity of the Izzo ointment and herbal soap to protect the children from contracting infectious diseases.
The Northern Region Marketing Officer of KIZZO-K Ventures, Abdul Somed Abdul Wadud, said it is one year since the company started its operations in the region and that the donation forms part of activities earmarked to celebrate the first year anniversary.
“Today is exactly one year when Izzo ointment came into the market in Tamale and helping in curing skin disease conditions and we decided to celebrate the day with the orphans so that we can put smiles in their faces. We decided to also donate some items to the home in order for the children to feel loved and part of the society; in that they will also benefit from what the company has been able to generate in the past year” he said.
He added the organization would continue extend more of similar support to the orphanage in subsequent years.
The Media Relations Officer of KIZZO-K Ventures, Prince Halid Mukadi Gbramoni, noted it was a pleasure for the Chief Executive Officer of the company to give back to the society.
“We thank the CEO for deeming it necessary to give back to the society because if you’re doing business and still find it necessary to give back to the society, it makes people feel what you’re doing is on point [because the right hand washes the left hand and the vice versa] and that’s why we are here to celebrate with the children as well as the management of the orphanage” he intimated.
Meanwhile, the caretaker of the orphanage, Madam Jennette Boahimaa, welcomed the donation and thanked the managers of KIZZO-K Ventures for presenting the food items, adding, I know it is going a long way to help us and as well as the ointment because it would help cure this skin rashes, boils and other things of the children; and we pray that KIZZO-K Ventures will grow to become a bigger company in the near future.
