The Ghana Police Service is on the search for five people who are connected to the murder of the Oshipi Of Ashalaja at Amasaman.
The victim is a 42-year old man who is claimed to be Joshua Laryea; the Oshipi of Ashalaja. The murder is believed to have occurred on Sunday 6th March, 2022 at Achiaman near Amasaman.
The Police acted on a tip-off they were given which led to the house of one of the suspects, Rashid Mohammed, who was not at home when the police arrived at Sowutuom. Upon a search in the house, the police found some ammunition which were kept in his house. His wife, Maradia Salihu who was at home at the time was taken in custody to assist the Police in their investigations.
The other five suspects are known as Rashid Mohammed, a.k.a Gizzo; Brown Amoah Akwanor, Nii Obene, Ayitey Animle alias Asa Brother; and Mushe Akwanor.
The Ghana Police Service is calling on the general public to assist with credible information that will lead to the whereabouts of these suspects.
