An expert in Oil and Gas, Kwame Jantuah, has cautioned the ruling government that the Economic problems the country faces is not a problem for the National Patriotic Part (NPP) only.

The CEO of Africa Energy Consortium Ltd. said this with regards to the meeting Cabinet had recently to address the economic problems the country face.

Cabinet is believed to have met on Friday to discuss solutions to tackle the challenges facing the economy.

The member of the Covention People’s Party (CPP) is not satisfied with the government’s approach to handling the economic issues without involving more stakeholders.

He said: “Listen, this so called meeting is not only a government problem, it is not an NPP problem, it is a Ghanaian problem. Because, country broke country no broke, are we not all inside? Are we not all suffering?

And so I would have thought that such a cabinet discussion, others will be brought onto the table” Mr. Jantuah added.

Mr Jantuah believes we must put partisan politics aside at this crucial point of the country’s economy and get more hands to help. By this he said:

“At a crucial time like this, let us put the partisanship aside. Even within the NPP party itself, let us put thr partisanship aside. Because the are people in the NPP who are not in the forefront who can also help out”.

The concerned citizen who claims he has interest and a stake in Ghana concluded by saying:

“I would have loved that after this cabinet meeting, before the President even comes to say anything to us, he opens it up to the general public(stakeholders). When I say he opens it up, he brings people on board, we sit round the table, people they feel have the know-how to bring good suggestions. And afterwards they take what they’ve decided at cabinet and take what they’ve got from these meetings and they now put it together and present it to us”.
