Parliament yesterday approved the Education Minister-designate, Mr. Haruna Iddrisu and other ministerial nominees for appointment as ministers of state after rigorous vetting.
The other nominees are Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as Minister for Finance, Mr. John Jinapor as Minister for Energy, Dr. Dominic Ayine as Attorney General and Minister for Justice.
The rest are Kwame Governs Agbodza as Minister-designate for Roads and Highways, and Eric Opoku as Minister-designate for Food and Agriculture.
Parliament’s Appointments Committee conducted a rigorous vetting process, evaluating the nominees’ qualifications, experience, and proposed strategies for their respective ministries.

After thorough assessments, the committee unanimously recommended their confirmation.
During a plenary session chaired by Second Deputy Speaker Andrew Asiamah, Parliament engaged in extensive deliberations on the nominees’ credentials and plans to address pressing national issues.
Following the discussions, a vote was held, resulting in the approval of all six nominees.
With the parliamentary approval, Mr. Haruna Iddrisu and his colleagues are now poised to assume their ministerial roles, contributing to the government’s development agenda.
