Police declares Arabic teacher wanted for defilement

‎The Western Regional Police Command has declared suspect Sule Anas, an Arabic teacher at the Fijai Zongo Central Community near Sekondi wanted in connection with defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge of two minors.

‎Leaders of Fijai Zongo Central Community reportedly engaged the suspect to teach their children arabic education on weekends.
‎
‎However, Police investigation indicates that the suspect allegedly lured the victims into a store room inside the mosque with the pretext of doing spiritual cleansing for them and ended up sodomizing and defiling the minors.
‎
‎A warrant for his arrest was issued on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, by the Gender Court in Sekondi.
‎
‎The Western Regional Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police, Olivia ET Adiku in a statement dated Thursday, May 21, said the suspect is fair in complexion and about 5.7 feet tall.

‎”Information gathered suggest that the suspect may be hiding in La Côte d’Ivoire or Togo.
‎
‎”The Command is urging anyone with credible information on the whereabouts of suspect Anas Sule who is currently on the run to contact the Western Regional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit, the nearest Police or call 191 or 112 for his arrest” she added.
