Supporters of the governing New Patriotic Party have been urged to give the leadership mantle to people who will work hard to propel the chances of the party to win the 2024 general elections.

Alhaji Inusah Amadu popularly known as Dagomba Boy believes the NPP in the northern region can lead the way to breaking the 8-year cycle of governance in Ghana but hasten to add that, “You don’t break the 8 by lining up people to sing songs of praises on the regional chairman”.

The phenomenon of party supporters singing praising accolades is very common among supporters of the major political parties especially on social media and some sections of the traditional electronic media in the northern region.

However, Alhaji Inusah, a contender for the NPP Chairmanship in the northern region maintained the party cannot break the 8 by simply shouting praising accolades of the Regional Chairman in the ears of the Ghanaian electorates.

“We can’t break the 8 just by words backed by no prosecutable action. We need a leader with a well-articulated vision to break the 8. We need a leader with enterprising political ideas to break the 8” he emphasized.

“My vision is to bring good leadership to the rank and file of the party in the northern region. NPP first; everyone matters” he assured.
