The Sagnarigu Municipal Chief Executive, Hajia Mariam Iddrisu has congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on his election as the new Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
President Akufo-Addo was elected to the position on Monday at the ongoing 57th ECOWAS Summit held in Niamey, Niger.
The Sagnarigu MCE took to her Facebook timeline Tuesday morning to congratulate the Ghanaian leader and Head of State.
The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) also congratulated President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo following his election as Chairman of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
The party in a statement said the election is a “testament of the great leadership acumen he has amply demonstrated over the years particularly in this period of global health crisis occasioned by the Covid-19 outbreak which has shuttered the world economy and destroyed livelihoods.
