In a bid to improve access to education in the Sagnarigu constituency, the MP for the area Atta Issah has commissioned a three unit classroom block and launched a scholarship scheme for 150 tertiary students in the constituency.
The classroom unit will replace an old dilapidated structure used for teaching and learning for JHS students in Wayamba.
The gesture, according to Chiefs and people of the area, will improve teaching and learning.

The old structure, which was a death trap, had students abandoned it anytime it rains.
The new JHS block is fully equipped with desk and learning materials.
Aside the commissioning of the Wayamba JHS block, the MP also launched a scholarship scheme for some 150 brilliant territory students.

The scholarship scheme will cost GH¢800,000 for a period of four years.
The students will be drawn from all tertiary institutions across the country.
Speaking at the commissioning and launch, Atta Issah said, “When l was campaigning to be your MP, I made you some promises, and I am fulfilling them, just like President Mahama is fulfilling his promises”.

He added, ” Youth developments is my priority and education can give us that development we want, that is why we are launching this scholarship scheme today to help the youth”.
