NPP National Youth Organiser Salam Mustapha has withdrawn from the contest for the party’s National Organiser position.
Chairman of the NPP Elections Committee, Frederick Opare Ansah, announced the development ahead of the balloting scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Mustapha was one of the candidates vying to become the party’s next National Organiser, with the election set for October 3, 2026.
His decision leaves candidates, including Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover in the race as the NPP gears up for its national executive elections.
No reason has so far been given for Mustapha’s withdrawal.
Meanwhile, the NPP has completed balloting for candidates contesting its national executive elections scheduled for October 3, 2026 in the Ashanti Region.
The balloting, held on Wednesday, September 9, determined the positions of the aspirants on the ballot papers for the various national executive positions.
The candidates expressed satisfaction with the process, with some attributing the numbers they picked to divine favour, while others said their positions would shape their campaign strategies.
