The Adenta Circuit Court has granted Salomey Awiti Baffoe bail in the sum of GH¢100,000, with two sureties, both of whom must be civil servants earning at least GH¢3,000 per month.
Salomey Awiti Baffoe is facing allegations that she was an accomplice to controversial Ghanaian TikToker, Ghana Jollof.
She was represented in court by the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, who welcomed the court’s decision to grant her bail.
Salomey was arrested on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at her residence in Hansua, near Techiman in the Bono East Region.
Her arrest attracted public attention following reports that she was taken from her home in a late-night operation. The 40-year-old mother of three was reportedly taken away at about 11:30 p.m. by three individuals who identified themselves as National Security operatives.
According to reports, the circumstances surrounding her arrest initially left her family struggling to determine her whereabouts.
The family reportedly sought information from the Bono East Regional Police Command and regional National Security officials. However, both institutions were said to have indicated at the time that they had no record of the operation.
The development subsequently generated concerns over the circumstances of her detention and renewed public interest in the case involving Ghana Jollof.
With the court granting her bail, Salomey will now be required to meet the conditions imposed as the case proceeds.
