Mohammed Adam Bantima Samba has been elected for the third consecutive time as the Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
His reelection is historic as it is first time someone has maintained the position for this number of times in the NPP.
He polled a total of two hundred and fifteen (215) votes while his closest contender Alhaji Inusah Amadu (Dagomba boy) secured one hundred and twenty-two (122) votes.
The other candidates in the race, Fuseini Musah had forty-four (44) votes and Salifu A. Rahman Mumin (COP) managed with five (5) votes.

He said the elections are over and there are no winners nor vanquish. He added the task ahead is to work tirelessly to win majority parliamentary seats in the region and ensure the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia becomes President.
”Unity is now the most important thing for the party and I want to urge our supporters to forgive each other” he admonished.
”I want to thank Almighty Allah and thank the Regional Elections Committee and the delegates who elected the Regional Executives. I also want to thank all polling station executives and all party supporters in the region” he added.
