President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to commission a newly constructed Savelugu Community Centre today Tuesday, 15th October, 2024.
The President will also cut-sod for the construction of a multipurpose Astro turf for the municipality.
The construction of the Community Center was spearheaded by Hajia Fatahiya Abdul Aziz, the 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Savelugu Parliamentary candidate.
She has undertaken several other infrastructure projects in the constituency to give a facelift to the constituency.
This will add to the Savelugu Rice Processing Factory under the flagship One District One Factory initiative and the Savelugu Digital Solution Center and the Agenda 111 hospital being constructed in the municipality.
Nana Akufo-Addo is in the area for a day’s working tour of the Northern Region.
Immediately he touches down in Savelugu, President Akufo-Addo will call on the Paramount Chief of Savelugu, Yoo Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani at his palace.
Meanwhile, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as part of the working visit will travel to Yendi to the Gbewaa Palace to pay a courtesy call on the Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa Naa Abukari II.
Nana Akufo-Addo whilst in Yendi will hold a meeting with stakeholders in the Yendi municipality and Executives of the governing New Patriotic Party in the Yendi constituency as part of efforts to rally the party’s base ahead of the impending general elections.
He will hold similar engagement with stakeholders in the northern regional capital, Tamale, before departing back to Accra.
