At the 9th Ghana Insurance Awards held on August 22, 2026, in Accra, Serene Insurance LTD made a statement winning the Indigenous Insurance Company of the Year 2025 and Promising Insurance Company of the Year 2025 awards to underscore the Company’s strategic progress, resilience, and commitment to delivering value to its customers and stakeholders.
In a related development, at the 6th Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) Excellence Awards, also held on August 29, 2026 in Accra, Serene Insurance’s Head of Underwriting, Mrs. Barbara Odoi was adjudged the Professional Underwriter of the Year 2025, in recognition of the Company’s resolute professionalism and commitment to effective risk management, speedy claims processing, proficiency and dedication to exceptional client experience.
This distinguished individual achievement reflects the depth of talent, professionalism, and excellence within the Serene Insurance team.
These come on the back of similar individual feats at the 5th Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG) Excellence Awards, which recognised the Head of Claims, Mr. Daniel Otoo as the Claims Professional of the Year 2024 and the Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Mercy Naa Koshie Boampong winning the ultimate award, Insurance Professional of the Year 2024.
In her remarks acknowledging the achievements, Chief Executive Officer Mrs Mercy Naa Koshie Boampong reaffirmed the Board’s vision and staff loyalty in driving the company’s unprecedented growth, noting that Serene Insurance’s growth trajectory and laurels were unmatched among players in Ghana’s insurance sector.
