The Member of Parliament for Tamale North Constituency who double as the Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has provided full scholarship packages for two brilliant but needy students to further their education abroad.
Mohammed Hardi Jabir, a graduate of the Kalpohini Senior High School and Muktar Suad of the Tamale Senior High School are expected to travel to Algeria to continue their education.
They will pursue a 6-year program in Doctor of Pharmacy and Doctor of Medicine, respectively.
The lawmaker presented the scholarship letters to the beneficiaries in the presence of their families in Tamale.

Mr. Suhuyini also an undisclosed cash amount to them to support their preparations ahead of the journey.
This intervention is one of several other steps taken by the National Democratic Congress legislator to support the underprivileged in society.
Over the years, the MP has constructed and commissioned educational infrastructure to provide quality education for children in his constituency.
He has also been distributing learning materials to students across the area and free extra class tuition for candidates sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Alhassan Suhuyini has also prioritized quality healthcare with the provision of several CHPS compounds doted across the constituency and medical equipment with the support of Qatar Charity.
The three term lawmaker has also been very instrumental in supporting women through his Women Empowerment Fund.
He recently disbursed an interest free loans to about 5000 women operating Small and Medium-sized businesses.
The Deputy Minister during the disbursement urged the women to invest the funds adequately to scale up their businesses.
He underscored the significant roles some rural women play in their homes, highlighting that some of them were breadwinners in their families.
