Musah Superior, a General Secretary hopeful of the governing New Patriotic Party, NPP, has dish out John Boadu, the incumbent General Secretary, for calling on delegates of the party to retain because of his experience.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission blamed Mr. Boadu for the outcome of the 2020 general elections which saw the NPP lose significant seats in Parliament and popular votes compared to 2016.

“In 2000, Dan Botwe worked and prepared us and we won. He had no experience as General Secretary. In 2016, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, KAA, worked and prepared us and we won. He had no experience as General Secretary. In 2020, we performed abysmally on the watch of a particular ‘experienced’ General Secretary. Hey, experience is cool but it doesn’t win elections” Musah Superior wrote on Facebook.

However, the outspoken former Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive indicated what the party requires at this material moment to break the 8 is competent hands to manage the affairs of the NPP moving into 2024.

Meanwhile, Musah Superior has taken his campaign christened, “The People’s Campaign” on Thursday (June 2, 2020) to the Bono East Region.

The New Patriotic Party has set July 14 to July 16, 2022, to elect new National Executives for the party as part of the ongoing internal reorganization exercise.
