Hajia Rahana Abdul-Aziz - NPP Northern Regional Women's Organizer

The Northern Regional Women’s Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hajia Rahana Abdul-Aziz has praised the party’s Women’s wing for their massive turnout during the 2021 Annual Regional Delegates Conference at both Yendi and Tolon on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

She said the massive turnout only demonstrated the unwavering commitment of the NPP Women wing to rally support for the party in their quest to govern the country beyond the traditional 8-year cycle in the 2024 general elections.

Hajia Rahana believes the fortunes of the NPP in 2024 would largely depend on the crusade the Women wing will champion into the elections.

“I salute my Women organizers in the 18 constituencies and the various women groups who have given me their support unconditionally. The NPP has the most vibrant women wing and they are always reliable and up to task in every party activity”

In an exclusive interview, the Northern Regional Women Organiser told THE CUSTODIAN she is always encouraged with the level of enthusiasm of the women folks.

She further promised to lobby for more job opportunities to empower them for the tedious and daunting task ahead of them in the next general election.

She emphasized the victory in 2024 solely rest on the shoulders of the women and indicated their readiness to take steps to realize the ultimate objective of the party.

She argued President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has done so much in terms of infrastructure and several poverty alleviating policies that in her view benefits more people in the north where she pointed out there is prevalence of poverty.

“See the beautiful Tamale interchange project, major streets in Tamale is giving an asphalt overlay works and same in Sagnarigu; all constituencies in the region have received their one ambulance service, warehouses doted across many districts in the region. There is also peace now Dagbon and businesses are moving on well for everybody especially our women – Nana Akufo-Addo is really working hard for the country” she noted.
