President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to arrive in Tamale Friday morning to begin a two-day working tour of the northern region.
The visit is one of the annual regional tours of Nana Akufo-Addo to interact with the people and take first-hand information about progress of government projects in the respective areas.
The President will pay courtesy call on Ya Naa Abukari at the Gbewa palace in Yendi and later visit Bimbila in the Nanumba North Municipality as well as the Mion district on day one of the tour.
He is also expected to inspect the progress of work on the Tamale interchange project and other infrastructure projects in the northern region.
Nana Akufo-Addo is also expected on Saturday, 7 August, 2021, to commission a rice processing factory at Savelugu under the government’s flagship one district one factory initiative before ending the 2021 tour of the northern region.
