Candidates for the 2022 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in the northern region has cautioned against all forms of malpractice during the examination period.
The Northern Regional Director of Ghana Education Service, Dr Peter Attafuah, issued the caution in a statement copied THE CUSTODIAN on Friday, September 2, 2022, stating “It is our prayer that any student who is participating in these exams with clear conscience will succeed because hard work pays.”
“But I want to sound a word of caution to students who may intend cheating in the exams halls to desist from that since the laws are there to deal with such offenders.”
Meanwhile, 16,346 candidates consisting 9,217 are males and 7,129 are female are expected to seat for the 2022 WASSCE test in the northern region.
The candidates are expected to begin writing their core papers with Social Studies next Monday (September 5, 2022) across the nation having gone through with some of the practical subjects.
Dr Attafuah said, “I want to use this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to all the teachers who have prepared these students for these examinations. I also want to extend my thanks to the Heads for their cooperation for ensuring that practical papers were taken without any hitches. For the students I congratulate them for getting to the final year and studying hard for these exams.”
The Director noted students who work hard will definitely come out victorious and will pass the examination to move on to the next level and obtain tertiary education.
“My dear students (Candidates), you are going to write these exams and we only pray that the good Lord will be with you and success will be yours. I believe that those who have work hard will definitely come out victorious, will come out with flying colours, you will pass your examinations and move on to the next level which is the tertiary” he stated.
