Real Madrid have knocked out Paris Saint German(PSG) out of the UEFA Champions League in the round of 16 stage.
Karem Benzema was the star man in the game at the Santiago Bernabeu yesterday. The Frenchman scored a hattrick to deny the Paris side a spot in the Quarter finals of the Champions league.
The Spanish side lost the first leg of the tie in Paris on 15th February, 2022 were Kylian Mbappe scored the only goal in stoppage time to secure a win for PSG. Messi missed a penalty in that game.
With an advantage over Real Madrid into the second leg, the French youngster opened scoring in the last quarter of the first half of for PSG.
The European Leaders came into the second half a goal down but with renewed energy until their hardwork paid off with Benzema equalising in the 61st minute.
Fifteen minutes after, the French Captain found the net. At 2:2 on aggregate Benzema could not wait any longer and added another goal to seal the game for Real Madrid, Two minutes later.
The Spanish league leaders are through to the Quarter finals of the 2021-2022 UEFA Champions League with Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.
