The New Patriotic Party Youth Organizer Aspirant in the northern region, Alhaji Mumin Salifu COP, has vowed to work closely with the youth of the party and has also promised never turn his back at them.
Alhaji Mumin COP said he will continue to represent the interest of the youth and reiterated his determination to reinvigorate the enthusiasm of the party youth groups.
Jack Sparrow as he is also known thanked the NPP youth for their continuous support of his candidature as the next Regional Youth Organizer.
“I am so happy about what you guys have done for me. I want to assure you that, today, I’m not going to turn my back against you; I’m coming out with you guys to make sure the region work for the party. I know you don’t have hope but make sure that you take me as your hope and I will make sure that I deliver – wherever that I am going, I am going with you from today onwards, we’re moving forward together” he stated.
Alhaji Mumin Salifu COP made the remarks when he addressed various youth groups of the NPP who picked nomination form on his behalf on Monday, May 16, 2022, to contest the upcoming Northern Regional Delegates Congress.
The Youth Organizer Aspirant said the youth for the past three years have been ideal and “When you go to the youth wing, you will not see any smiling face – everywhere is dried”.
Spokesperson of the groups, Saha Sule Abdulai, for his part said the delay of Alhaji Mumin to pick the form since the party opened nomination on Sunday necessitated their decision to do so on his behalf.
“The issue is that since yesterday when nominations were opened, we didn’t hear whether our leader had taken a form or not and we see him as the savior of northern youth in the New Patriotic Party and so therefore, we were very worried that our leader hasn’t picked the form and so it became very important that the youth wing came together gather the needed resources – an amount of 5,000 cedis to purchase the form for our savior” he explained.
