The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has started sweating ahead of upcoming NDC regional election slated for early November this year .

Joseph Kobina Ade- Coker who always won regional elections narrowly seems to be losing grips of NDC delegates as he goes round the constituencies within Greater Accra to beg prospective delegates that either do not support him or have put other candidates contesting him in their whatapp status.

Ade who has prowess in sharing goodies & cash during elections has started using experience to campaign instead of waiting for last minutes of the election to share money. Speculation has it that Ade’s main contender Micheal Kwettey Tetteh is financially viable to compete him if it comes to cash.

Ade’s bank Roller, who is a former deputy Chief of staff is calling people who matter to rally support for Ade but it is not yielding postive results, thecustodianghonline.com has gathered.

In addition to campaigning with experience, Ade also campaigns for Mahama to go unopposed ahead of NDC Flag bearer contest in 2023.

Ade- Coker came into full time politics in 2010 after being in foodball business for long.
In 2010, Ade beat Danny Annan with 3 votes to win Regional Chairmanship position.
In 2014, Ade-Coker retained the regional Chairmanship slot after he was reported to have shared 32-inche television sets to his targeted delegates.

In 2018 when many delegates decided to vote Ade-Coker out, Ade magically won again marginally with less than 40 votes after spreading cash. A close source from Ade’s team indicates that there is probability of reasonable certainty that more goodies and cash will come.

However, Ade-Coker is very skeptical of his victory as many constituency chairmen are not supporting him.

Barring any change in schedules, NDC will hold constituency elections on October 22-23rd and Regional elections in November.
