The Paramount Chief of Karaga, Naa Abdulai Nantogmah, has commended President Nana Akufo-Addo for moving Dr Mohammed Amin Adam as Deputy Minister of Energy to a Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance.
His Highness Naa Nantogmah in a statement said, “On behalf of myself, the Chiefs and people of Karaga traditional area extend a deep sense of gratitude to the President, His Excellency President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for having appointed Dr Mohammed Amin Adam as a substantive Minister.”
The Chief noted the confidence reposed in the Karaga Member of Parliament is an honor done the people and further thanked the President for recognizing the competence, expertise, sterling leadership qualities and service in the lawmaker to serve in his government at this particular time.
“We wish to encourage our MP that this appointment is a sign of greater prospects ahead of his political and professional career as well as in the development of the communities in our constituency and the country at large if he continues to be diligent and loyal to the authority.”

Background
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin announced some changes he has made to his government with MP for Adansi Asokwa KT Hammond picked as the new the Trade and Industry Ministry.
Dr Mohammed Amin Adam has also been elevated as the Minister of State at the Finance Ministry after the President sacked Charles Adu Boahen who occupied the position until last year.
MP for Abetifi Constituency Bryan Acheampong has also been nominated to head the Ministry of Food and Agriculture while MP for Akwapim South Osei Bonsu Amoah also elevated as the Minister of State at the Ministry of Local Government.
MP for Nhyiaeso, Dr Stephen Amoah has been nominated as a Deputy Trade Minister.
Meanwhile, the President has replaced the outgoing Deputy Energy Minister with Herbert Krapa, a Deputy Trade Minister.
Mr. Stephen Asamoah-Boateng, former Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) becomes the new Minister of Chieftency and Religious Affairs.
