Today, January 7 2024, marks the seventh day since Ghana’s Failatu Abdul Razak started the Cook-A-Thon journey at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, which has been set by Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe.

As a result of this, the Ghana Chefs Association passed through the venue to support and cheer Failatu on as she continues her attempt to break the existing record by Dorcus Mirembe, popularly known as Mama D.

Speaking on behalf of the Association, chef Isaac said, they are there “to support their own chef, Failatu” as she works round the clock to break the Guinness world cooking record.

“We are here to show our support, honour her, and confer on her as the Executive Chef in Ghana” he addedChef Isaac indicated that the move is to encourage other chefs to also go for and win such awards to honour the name of the Association and Ghana as a whole.

According to Chef Isaac, the Ghana Chefs Association is also a member of the World Chefs Society, where they have participated in a lot of competitions around the globe and are promoting Ghana.

To this effect, the Association presented a citation, signed by the president of the Ghana Chefs Association, congratulating her.

The Association also presented a customized apparel to Chef Failatu.

“The Ghana Chefs Association wishes to congratulate and recognize your official attempt to break the World Guinness Record for cook-a-thon (the longest cooking marathon). The entire membership of the Association is solidly behind you in recognition of your outstanding achievement in promoting Ghana’s hospitality industry through the cook-a-thon.
