The newly sworn in committee members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC ) have experienced excruciating pain and regret over the inability of the party’s national leadership to prepare the party Headquarters for the swearing ceremony that took place on Monday, 19th February 2024.
Newly formed committees and members numbering up to 600 were present but unfortunately the party secretariat headed by Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the Party General secretary failed to prepare the facility for the event.
One of the Committee Members expressing regret said that the NDC National executives were very insensitive and did not prepare adequately for them. “Look at how am sweating, even bakery will not be hot like this room. Not even common fan is working here and these people call themselves leaders” she lamented.
Another lady said the washrooms are not something to write home about. “Beautiful edifice like this and a whole NDC can’t maintain it and you tell me you are ready for power. Visit the washrooms and see something.”
Additional information gathered indicates that there was no sound system for swearing in ceremony thus there was no microphone to amplify the voice of the speakers because Sammy Gyemfi, the Party Communication Officer was addressing Press conference.
Sammy Gyemfi who is said to have a grudge with the Party’s General secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey did not take part in the event .
