Ghanaians living in Germany and other members of the African diaspora are set to experience a new cultural celebration as the maiden edition of the Afro Park Party takes centre stage in Bremen on August 8, 2026.
The event, organised by Akwaaba Entertainment Group Bremen, aims to create a vibrant platform for celebrating Ghanaian music, culture and heritage while bringing together communities across Europe. The festival is expected to attract Ghanaians, Africans and music lovers who want to connect, network and enjoy a taste of home away from home.
The inaugural Afro Park Party will feature performances from some of Ghana’s most popular and respected musicians, offering attendees an opportunity to experience a blend of highlife, hiplife, reggae, dancehall and contemporary Ghanaian sounds.
The impressive line-up includes highlife star K.K. Fosu, known for his contribution to Ghana’s highlife music scene; hiplife artiste Dr. Cryme; rapper Flowking Stone; reggae and dancehall musician Ras Kuuku; entertainer Kwame Obaadie; and musician Patapaa, who is widely recognised for his energetic performances and unique musical style.
Organisers say the event will be held at Hinter dem Hallenbad-Huchting im Park in Bremen, Germany, providing an open-air environment where music, culture and community engagement will come together.
The Afro Park Party is designed to offer more than just musical performances. Organisers intend for it to become a cultural gathering where attendees can celebrate Ghanaian traditions, interact with one another and strengthen connections within the diaspora community.
The festival will feature a mix of live music performances, cultural displays and social activities, creating an atmosphere that reflects the warmth and hospitality associated with Ghanaian celebrations.
With a ticket price of €30, organisers say the event has been structured to remain affordable and accessible. Children will be allowed entry for free, making the festival suitable for families looking to enjoy a day of entertainment and cultural immersion.
For Akwaaba Entertainment Group Bremen, the Afro Park Party represents a major milestone as the organisation’s first large-scale outdoor entertainment event. The group hopes the festival will become an annual celebration that promotes Ghanaian culture and provides a platform for artistes to connect with fans abroad.
The growing Ghanaian community in Europe has increasingly played an important role in promoting the country’s culture, music and traditions internationally. Events such as the Afro Park Party provide opportunities for diaspora communities to preserve their cultural identity while sharing Ghana’s rich heritage with people from different backgrounds.
Beyond entertainment, the organisers believe the event will contribute to cultural exchange and community building by creating a space where people from different nationalities can come together through music and shared experiences.
As preparations continue, expectations are high for the first edition of the Afro Park Party, with organisers promising a memorable celebration of Ghanaian music, culture and unity in the heart of Bremen.
The event is expected to mark a new chapter in Ghanaian cultural celebrations in Germany and could become one of the notable platforms for showcasing Ghanaian talent and creativity abroad.
