Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his former Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia have extended his warm greetings and best wishes to the Muslim community in Ghana, across Africa, and around the world as they commence the sacred month of Ramadan.

In a message to the Muslim Ummah, Mr. Akufo-Addo expressed hope that the period of fasting and prayer would further strengthen both individual and collective commitment to peace and good neighbourliness.

“It is my wish that the period of Ramadan will strengthen further, our individual and collective resolve in the pursuit of peace and good neighbourliness,” he stated.

On his part, former Vice President Bawumia extended Ramadan ‘Kareem’ to fellow Muslims in Ghana and around the world.

“My wife and I, extend our best wishes to fellow Muslims, in Ghana and around the world.

“May the Almighty Allah grant us a blessed and rewarding Ramadan,” Dr. Bawumia prayed.
