The Ewe Community chef of Amasaman area in the Ga West Municipality of Greater Accra Region, Torgbe Zoglie Sasu Gablizi II, has paid a courtesy call of the Paramount Chief of Amasaman, Nii (Dr.) Amasah Oseiku ii at his Palace at Amasaman recently.
The courtesy call is an annual event that the Ewe Community Chief usually pays to the Paramount Chief to foster unity between Ewes and Gas and all other tribes in and around Amasaman.
Torgbe Gablizi II started his tour to the Paramount Chief’s Palace from his Residence in Amasaman and passed through the principal streets peacefully amidst the firing of musketry.
The Ewe community chief who was warmly welcomed noted that he was at the Paramount chief’s Palace to offer him, annual greetings and to wish him well for the new Ga year that they are all entering with peace, love and unity.
Togbe Gablizi II noted that it is his joy to visit the paramount Chief, Nii Amasah who over the years has accepted visitors including law abiding Ewes in his territory and always offers his subjects good advice.
He also stressed that he was always impressed upon his subjects to obey the law of Amasaman land and respect elders.
On his part, the Paramount Chief Nii Amasah Oseiku II, emphasized that as the landlord of the area, he does not believe in discrimination of any sort, adding that he has accepted all strangers, and visitors in his area and also very happy that the residents from all across the nation to his place including Ewes have been very law abiding.
Nii Oseiku II, stressed that it is his hope that the new year that “we are entering will be full of blessings from our maker so that the difficulties that the nation went through in the past would end for all to be relieved.”
