“This morning, my thoughts and prayers are with the thousands of our people affected by the floods. My deepest sympathies to those who have lost their loved ones and properties, and those who have been forced out of their homes,” he said.
Dr. Bawumia urged Ghanaians to cooperate with government agencies and comply with all safety directives aimed at protecting lives and managing the emergency.
He also called on emergency services and relevant state institutions to intensify their efforts to reach affected communities and provide timely assistance to those in need.
“I urge citizens to comply with all directives issued by the government and to cooperate fully with institutions mandated to address the situation. I also urge the emergency services and all relevant authorities to do everything possible to reach those in need and assist them,” he stated.
Expressing optimism despite the difficult circumstances, Dr Bawumia encouraged Ghanaians to remain united and support one another as the country responds to the disaster.
“We will get through this difficult time by caring for one another,” he said, concluding his message with a prayer for the nation: “May God bless our homeland Ghana.”
