The Paramount Chief Buipe Traditional Area - Buipewura Mahama Abdulai Jinapor II

The Savannah Regional Minister, Muazu Jibril, who doubles as Chairman of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) has commended Buipewura Mahama Abdulai Jinapor II, for leading the conflict resolution team of eminent Chiefs to smoke the peace pipe in other traditional areas in the region. 

Mr. Muazu Jibril said, “One thing that as a Regional Minister I will never forget is the total reduction of conflict, both chieftaincy and land disputes in the Savannah Region.”  

“…You have led four other Chiefs including yourself making you five Chiefs to address these issues. Let me congratulate you, you’re doing a yeoman’s job” he lauded the traditional leader. 

The REGSEC Chairman intimated the Security Council will be working in partnership with the five eminent Chiefs responsible of bringing about peace in the region. 

The Savannah Regional Minister made the remarks when he addressed the 2022 Buipewura Damba Festival last Saturday, October 22, 2022 in the Central Gonja district capital.

The Savannah Region has witnessed some stability and relative peace in recent years because of the measures taken by the traditional council to nip all outstanding melees in the bud.

Buipewura Mahama Abdulai Jinapor II, for his part, noted the forward march of the Buipe Traditional Area will remain indescribable history if the social cohesion factor is not intensified.

He posited there is a robust sign of social cohesion and human relationship development in the Buipe Traditional Area and further called on the chiefs and people of the area, as well as various youth associations and Civil Society Organizations to cooperate and create an atmosphere of tranquility for absolute peace to predominate. 

“This will anchor and cement the hard earned peace of the Traditional Area for development to take-off. Let me applaud the people of the Traditional Area for your swift contributions towards peace. This special characteristic of you in promoting peace has advanced and prepared the smooth grounds for investors to trade in the area for an enhanced socio-economic development and benefits for the area” he added.

His Royal Highness Jinapor II also prayed for the King and Overlord of Gonjaland, His Majesty Yagbonwura Professor Tuntumba Bore Essa I to continue enjoying more life, good health, wisdom as the leader of the Gonja Kingdom in order to achieve the needed development for the area. 

“Your leadership is unsurpassed. The chiefs of the Kingdom will help you achieve your dreams as the Yagbonwura” he assured.
