Mr. Stephen Ntim, NPP National Chairman

National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Stephen Ayensu Ntim has launched new membership dues boost finances of the governing party.

The monthly membership dues launched yesterday at the NPP Headquarters in Accra are in four categories.

They are Bronze category, GH¢2.00; Silver Category, GH¢5.00; Gold Category, GH¢8.00; and Platinum Category, GH¢10.00.

Mr. Ntim said the NPP National Council (NC), which is the second highest decision making body apart from Annual Delegates Conference of the party approved the new membership dues on 20th July, 2023 for members across the country and also for all its external branches.

The new dues structure, Mr. Ntim pointed out, is more convenient, transparent and efficient.

“The new membership dues payment system is designed and structured into various categories powered by an in-built technology where every member can easily and conveniently pay their dues by simply dialling *920*270# and following the prompts.

“This decision is to restructure the membership dues to boost the finances of the party, improve membership drive and enhance the welfare of party members.

“The party’s constitution enjoins all members to pay dues and also make donations to sustain the party and ensure its growth”, Mr. Ntim stated.

He said members of NPP can only be in good standing when they are paying their dues fully as required.

“The membership dues mode of payment and procedure ensure accountability,” he added.

Apart from the membership dues, NPP’s constitution also talks about Patrons.

Mr. Ntim said these are individual party members who may choose to contribute substantially towards the progress of the party at different levels from constituency, regional and national.

“The platform also allows for the collection of the contributions of all patrons at each level.

“Ladies and gentlemen from the media, as a way of motivating members who pay their dues, there will be benefits to members who pay their dues. The details will be communicated to the general public soon,” the NPP national chairman told journalists.

According to him, the governing party has outlined a number of activities to help create the necessary awareness and to sensitize party members on this new dues payment system.

He called on the media to massively support the party by carrying the “good message will be carried across the length and breadth of our country.”
