Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB) has embarked on an official visit to the Vatican State and Italy as part of efforts to deepen ties between Ghana and the two states.
In a statement issued yesterday, Dr. Gideon Boako, spokesperson for Dr. Bawumia, indicated that the Vice President will have bilateral discussions with His Holiness Pope Francis.
He highlighted the significance of the meeting, noting the Pope’s commitment to spreading messages of love, mercy, and inclusivity, which have resonated globally.
The discussions are expected to underscore shared principles of peace, justice, and solidarity, aiming to pave the way for a brighter future.
The Vice President’s diplomatic tour signifies Ghana’s commitment to fostering dialogue and cooperation with international partners, as well as promoting values of unity and mutual understanding on a global scale.
He is expected to return to Ghana on Thursday April 25, 2024.
