The Member of Parliament for Yendi Constituency in the Northern Region, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, has praised his late parents – the late former Vice President of Ghana Alhaji Aliu Mahama and spouse Hajia Ramatu Mahama, for their wise counsel and guidance which has propelled him to become a better person in life.
The Yendi legislator marking his 42nd birthday on Thursday, April 27, 2023, thanked almighty Allah for the gift of life and his grace to be healthy.
Farouk Mahama said, “It has been a life of long humbling ride with its highs and lows but for every year I am better than the year before.
“I’m eternally grateful to my late DAD, my late MUM for all the guidance and counsel they have given me that makes me appreciate a good life, for the discipline they instilled in me which made me stronger and made me a better person and most of all for the love and prayers” he stated.
The young astute politician indicated the home training made him to appreciate life in different perspectives and to embrace education as the gateway to a better life “that inspired me to keep climbing the ladder of education from Bachelors to Masters, and then now a PhD candidate in Azteca University, Mexico.”
“The combination of all these including academic credentials from Havard and Cambridge is to their honour. There is nothing so pleasing to me than giving them a posthumous pride in my development and exploits in life. To my lovely beautiful wife, family and friends you have been amazingly phenomenal with your love, care and patience with me. It is exciting to share my life with you and be a blessing to other people” he added.
