The Conference of Heads of Basic Schools in the Yendi Municipality, the Municipal Examination Committee and the entire 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates has expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon Farouk Aliu Mahama for taking up the entire cost for the mock examination of the pupils.
The lawmaker has paid the full cost of the Super Mock Examination for all 2,382 candidates in the Yendi municipality. The initiative covers all candidates in the 36 Public and 5 Private Junior High Schools in the area.
In view of this, the head teachers jointly in a statement with the various subject masters said they are exceedingly grateful for the continuous support of the legislator.
“The essence of this writing is to acknowledge your support and indeed register our appreciation for your valuable contribution and commitment in sponsoring the conduct of Mock examination for the 2022 BECE candidates in Yendi Constituency” the statement added.
It continued, “The entire 2022 BECE Candidates, Yendi Municipal Examination Committee, Conference of Heads of Basic Schools as well as subject masters of the various Junior High Schools in Yendi Constituency appreciate your monumental support and shall forever be grateful to you.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Farouk Aliu Mahama told THE CUSTODIAN the rationale for the gesture is to rekindle the illusion of the students’ ambition through education to become better people in society.
He added the human capital investment is critical for his new Yendi vision as it would help mitigate the poverty margins and transforming the municipality in the near future.
