Some shops in the Tamale Central market in the northern regional capital have been gutted by fire Wednesday afternoon, November 9, 2022.

Items worth thousands of Ghana cedis have been destroyed in the inferno.

The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be established.

THE CUSTODIAN has learnt one of the shops sells cloths among other sewing materials.

However, the intervention of personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) brought the situation under control.
