The Ghana Police Service have filed a case at the courts to seek a determination on the time Arise Ghana is proposing to hold its demonstration in Accra.
A group called Arise Ghana notified the Police on a supposed demonstration in Accra for two days and partly be allowed to picket at the Jubilee House in the night.
The Police Service, in order not to compromise on public order and safety entreated the organisers to reconsider the proposed time for the demonstration before night falls.
Due to lack of agreement between the Police and the organisers of the supposed demonstration who insist on their proposed time, the Police Service have submitted the process to the courts for a determination and a hearing will start on Monday, June 27, 2022.
