Deputy Minister for Transport Hassan Tampuli has inaugurated a nine-member Governing Board of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) with a call on them to help transform the aviation industry.

On behalf of his boss, the Sector Minister Mr Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, the Deputy Minister yesterday inaugurated the Board chaired by the highly respected aviation expert Captain Powis Deakens Spencer.

Other members of the Board are Charles Ebo Kraikue, Director-General of GCAA, Air Commodore Jacob Anum Ashrifie, Kwasi Owusu-Ansah, Mr Alfred Obeng-Boateng, Ofori Kofi Newman, Cecilia Kwofie, Joyce Opoku-Boateng and Mabel Asi Sagoe.

Mr Tampuli who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Gushegu in the Northern Region reminded the newly inaugurated Board of the enormity of the task they have accepted to take on behalf of the people of Ghana.

He said the aviation industry is in a transition and it is the expectation of the sector Minister that the Board will hasten the path of quick recovery for the aviation sector.
